Frog Cottage is an 18th century traditional Gower farm cottage in the village of Llanmadoc on the north west corner
of the beautiful Gower Peninsula. It sits at the mouth of the Burry valley overlooking Carmarthen Bay and Llanrhidian
salt marsh where herds of feral horses and grazing sheep wander at will.
The local village pub, The Britannia Inn, which is CAMRA listed and has an excellent restaurant, is about 50m away
to the west, whilst swimming and surfing beaches are within easy walking distance. Gower was the very first area
of outstanding natural beauty in the UK to be officially designated AONB and offers a truly magnificent environment
of upland ridges, stunning beaches, secret coves and deciduous woodland.
This is a place of beauty and tranquility offering a wide range of outdoor activities from walking, swimming, surfing,
fishing, bird-watching and horseriding to kite surfing, cycling and rock-climbing, all within walking distance
or a short car or bus journey away. Gower is also home to a fine collection of local pubs and restaurants. Swansea
and Mumbles with their theatres, galleries, leisure centre and marina are only 25 minutes by car. |
